The Faculty of Performing Arts (Fakultas Seni Pertunjukan or FSP) at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar (ISI Denpasar) held the Odd Semester Graduation for the Academic Year 2023/2024. The graduation ceremony took place at the Natya Mandala Building, ISI Denpasar, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of FSP, Dr. I Gede Yudarta, S.Skar., M.Si, reported that a total of 166 students from five study programs were conferred degrees that afternoon. They comprised 35 students from the Dance Arts program, 51 from the Karawitan Arts program, 9 from the Puppetry Arts program, 48 from the Performing Arts Education program, and 23 from the Music Arts program. Overall, the graduating students are the result of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum, which has been fully implemented at ISI Denpasar since 2021.
Dr. Yudarta explained that in the final phase of the MBKM curriculum, each student is given the freedom to choose an MBKM program and is required to complete all sub-components of the chosen program. During the Odd Semester of 2023-2024, several MBKM programs were selected by students, including independent study/projects, internships, teaching assistantships, and research. In the implementation of these programs, students from all study programs within the Faculty of Performing Arts collaborated with 102 partners from the Business and Industrial sectors.
“This activity is very sacred and signifies the graduation of students after successfully completing the education process and being declared graduates in the evaluation of the Final Project of the MBKM at the Faculty of Performing Arts, Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar,” said Dr. Yudarta.
